Machine Concept
The 
CM In-Line Metallizer applies high-quality sputtered metal coatings to plastic parts inline with injection molding. As an Inline Process, the CM system accepts robotically transferred parts from an upstream injection molding machine and applies a metal coating using a vacuum sputtering process. This results in very high-quality coatings, since plastic parts are never cleaner and drier than immediately after molding. With a cycle time of approximately 10 seconds and the adaptability to be scaled to accommodate various mold cavitations, the CM In-Line Metallizer can meet your production needs.
The system is capable of handling a variety of substrate sizes and material and is ideal for making optically reflective items or for making plastic products look like metal. The CM system can be easily reconfigured for various products, providing high throughput for minimum investment.
